GAMEKEEPER SHOT
ARRESTED MAN’S STORY
London, October 12. “I heard a shout, ‘Hand’s up!’ and tried to escape. Someone called, ‘Shoot, Bill!’ Then I felt a pain in my thigh, and the shock made me pull the trigger. Simultaneously, I felt the charge of the other man’s gun hit my shoulder and face. I went home and dressed mv wounds.” This accused’s statement was read in Court in regard to Enoch Dix charged with the murder of a gamekeeper, William Walker near Bristol.
