The remnants of the Shansi Army are desperately resisting further Fengtien advances. A fierce battle is progressing on the L’ekiug-Suiyuan front. Streams of wounded are pouring into Peking, and the hospitals are filled. Both sides suffered heavily. The Fengtieu army captured two brigade commanders and seven regimental commanders. A reward of 400,090 dollars is offered for the head cf Yen Hsi-slian, Shansi’s rebel Governor. A prize is offered for the occupation of Shinnhaichuang.
