TENDER FOR ERECTION ACCEPTED Dominion Special Service. Auckland, October 13. The foundations for the South British Insurance Company’s lavish nine-story building, which is to be erected on the corner ol bhortlaud Street and High Street, will be commenced on Monday morning, and. the completion of the premises is expected by the cud of 1928. Arrangements for an immediate start were made to-day, when the tender of the Fletcher Construction Company for £84,264 was accepted. The ground floor will be occupied entirely by the local offices of the company. Marble will be used extensively. The second floor will be devoted to the Guardian Trust Company, and on one of the upper storys-the head office of the insurance company will be located. The remaining six floors will be available for leasing.
