Mt. Leopold Amery, Dominions Secretary, speaking at a civic reception tendered to him at Albany, said that he was immensely impressed by the spirit of tlie settlers and the great and obvious progress made in the area which he had visited during the day, when he was escorted round a group of settlements in the Denmark area, seeing a number of holdings and conversing with settlers. He added: “I believe we can supply you with the best material towards the building up of a white Australian nation, and with a market for your products. We can make sure that the best share of the best market in the world shall be reserved for our own kin.”
