MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE CASES. Messrs. J. E. Staples and E. Waterworth, J.P.’s, dealt with police cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. For using obscene, language, George McKciidrv, -aged 37, was fined £2, m default fourteen days’ imprisonment. Harry Albert . Griffiths, .ed 5’ was fined £2. in . default seven, days.’ inn prisonment, . for his fourth offence of drunkenness • Joseph Edtnendes, a labourer, aged •15 who appeared before Mr W. G Riddell, S.M., charged with stealing two bunches of asparagus, valued ,at Is 4d the property of the Union Steam Ship Company, was fined £2, in default three days’ imprisonment. Accused was allowed seven days in which to pay the fine.
