SOCIAL NOTES

TOWN AND COUNTRY Mrs. Garth Williams, of Palmerston North, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Vickers (Inglewood). Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Jamieson, of Wanganui, have been visiting Hamilton. Mrs. D. Paviour-Smith, of Dannevirke, is on a short visit to Napier. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Jones are Hawke’s Bay visitors to Wanganui. Mrs. W. Pearce, of Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs. Trask, of Palmerston North.

Miss O. blakiston is a Dannevirke visitor to Napier. Miss Aldridge, of the staff of the Hawke’s Bay Central Power Board, has returned to Waipukurau, having been awav on holiday. Mr. and Mrs. P. A. McHardv, together with Mr. F. McHardy, of Palmerston North, are visiting Christchurch. Mrs. I. Arney, of New Plymouth, is a visitor to Wanganui. Misses K. and A. Thompson, of Palmerston North, are on a short holiday visit to Napier. Mrs. Hanna, of Dannevirke, is staying at Hokowhitu, Palmerston North, where she is the guest of Mrs. A. Fitzherbert. Mrs. C. Carr, of Auckland,_ and mother of Major R. Carr, the airman, lias been staying with Mrs. Goodbehere, of Feilding. ’ She has now gone to Napier, where she is the guest of Mrs. Gibbons.

Miss Cora Hubbard, of Pahiatua, was a visitor to Masterton last week.

Miss Taylor, who recently arrived in New Zealand from South Africa and Australia, is visiting Mrs. R. S. Pilmer, “Waiteko,” Masterton. Miss Elsie Laing, of Nelson, is visiting Mrs. Andrew, “Awanui,” Masterton. Mrs. C. Hale, Masterton, has been the guest of Mrs. Cholmely, Hawera. I\lr. and Mrs. James Hislop, of Wadesfown, Wellington, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. V. Donald, Lansdowne, Masterton.

Mts. A. H. Vite, of Oamaru. is visiting her daughter, Mrs. B. P. Perry, of Mnsterton.

Mrs. J. Ashwell has returned to Wanganui from a visit to Miss Pearce, of Masterton.
