SOME HEAVY SCORING. Sydney, October 10. Heavy scoring was the order of the day in yesterday’s grade cricket. ror Globo against Western Suburbs Foskitt made 121. For Balmain against North Sydney Jackson made 120 (not out). For Mosman against Gordon Brown made W, and for Waverley against Randwick Kippax made 107. Mailer took six Balmain wickets for-46; J. Robison four of Petersham’s at a cost of seven runs apiece. Melbourne, Octobei 10. At the opening of the cricket- season, -or Collingwood against Carlton Ryder made 175. For St Hilda against Prahran Ponsford made 188; for •Melbourne against Hawthorn Hansford 99 not out; for East Melbourne against South Melbourne O’Brien 100 not out.
