AMERICAN DEBATERS
In connection with the projected visit of tho student debaters from Oregmi University, the subjects chosen tentatively for debate in New Zealand are the following: “That democracy is a failure”; “That Prohibition is not Practicable”; “That H. L. Mencken is Greater than George Bernard Shaw”; “That U.S.A. Should Cancel All Foreign War Debts.” It is understood that tho American visitors will bo prepared to give formal lectures or informal talks on pre-sent-day American lifo and problems, and to appear before societies and clubs, or Io broadcast.
