As no official word has been received from Sydney , and no scores ot the Sydney team have been received, this must not be taken as correct, •as the totals cabled ure altogether incorrect. Tho Hutt Valley Ladies’ Club has been busy lately with friendly matches, and two have taken place on their range. The first . .was with the W.W.JI.C., and in tho match the ladies won. Jlessrs. Woods, Walker and Saul tied for first place, and in the shoot-off Mr. Saul won. Dlr. Ruddle won the consolation. The second match, fired last Thurscay, was against the South Club, and about 16 members of this club journeyed to the ladies’ range. An exceedingly interesting shoot took place between B grade members of both clubs, and also . A grade. Tho scores were not very high, but the friendly rivalry made the meeting enjoyable. 'Cards were played and musical selections rendered at intervals made tho time pass all too quickly. Trophies were presented to tho highest and lowest scorers in each club, and speeches wore made by Mrs. Warner tor the ladies and Mr. Congreve for tho men. Supper was served by tho ladies after each match, and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The ladies have finished their first competition shoot for the president’s (Mrs. Galvin) trophy. Mrs. Warner was first in A <Tade, with Mrs. May runner-up. Mrs. Phillips was first in B grade, and Mrs. Warner runner-up. JIATCHES FOR NEXT WEEK. A Grade (11th Round Final). Harbour Board v.
