PRESBYTERIANISM AT HUTT
Assistance from the Wellington Presbytery was sought last night by the .. representatives of St Stephen's Church at -Lower Hutt so as to enable tho construction of a Sunday school in the Mandel Block, this being considered essentin). The delegates suggested that congregations in the Wellington Presbytery bo asked to contribute a Sunday’s collection towards the object. This proposal, however,, did not meet with the approval of the majority of members, it being considered that.a canvass by the St. Stephen's people themselves would be preferable.
