A survey of mining operations in progress on the Thames and Coromandel goldfields discloses the fact that 16 mines are being worked by over 100 miners, excluding prospecting parties (states an exchange). In the Coromandel area there are 14 mon employed in the development of the Hauraki mine, three at the Four in Hand mine, four at the Mount Welcome mine, and two each in the Tiki and Tris mines.
