BUSH FIRES
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Adelaide, January 21. The bush fires, fanned by a high wind, are sweeping the Lyndoch, Mount Crawford, and Eden Valley districts, where the fodder crop is one of the heaviest known. The fire passed within two miles of Williamstown - , where it xvas temporarily checked. The wind then changed and the fire divided into two spits of flames and got out of hand. At sunset the wind dropped, and it is anticipated that the outbreak xvill be extinguished. The damage amounts to many thousands of pounds.
