TEACHERS’ SCHOOL
NATIONAL ORGANISATION PROPOSED BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Cambridge, January 21. At a business meeting of the teachers attending the summer school, after a keen discussion, the following resolutions were passed: — “(1) That the summer school movement should continue on the same broad lines, and with the same cultural objectives, as have characterised the Cambridge meetings; (2) that the summer school movement should be developed as a Dominion movement, as opposed to insular organisation; (3) that the next meeting be held at the most convenient centre in the bouth Island, an experimental venture to test the possibility and advisability ot a national organisation; (4) that the general executive be empowered to select a location for next year’s school, and establish a local organisation. Air. F. Alilner, of Waitaki, was reelected president, and Air. Duncan Rae, Auckland, vice-president and president of the executive ■ The new committee is Aliss Hume and Alessrs. Johnston and Walker. The school will close to-morrow, after having been an unqualified success. A motor trip to Horahora and Arapuni was greatly enjoyed.
