DARING ROBBERY

INTRUDER IN HOTEL BEDROOM Dominion Special. : c Auckland, December 27.. .A daring robberv was carried out in the early hours of Christmas morning at the Central Hotel, Victoria Street, when a guest had £5O in notes stolen from his room. The intruder apparently worked with great care, for the owner of the money and his wife, who were visiting Auckland for the holidays, were both asleep in the room between midnight and 8 o’clock in the morning, when the notes disappeared. They were left in a pocket of a suit of clothes, which was thrown over the end of the bed, but when the gentleman dressed in the morning and placed his hand in his pocket it was empty.
