AIR LINERS
ARRIVE AT CAIRO (Rec. December 26, 5.5 p.m.) Cairo, December 24. two of the .air liners bound for Kar-achi-have arrived. The second starter came in first. The passengers ar<f delighted with their experiences. Sir Sefton Brancker’s machine was delayed through descending for petrol in Catania, Sicily, after encountering a heavy gale for fiftv miles from Naples, The second starter accomplished the 390 miles from Solium to Cairo under three hours. The airliners while crossing the Senussi territory flew the Union Jack in order to avoid possible aggression by warlike tribesmen who are unfriendly towards..the.. Italians,...some of.. whose fliers met a terrible fate at the natives’ hands two months ago.
