ARBITRATION COURT
FIXTURES FOR SESSION. The Arbitration Court sat in Wellington yesterday. The members of the Court are: Mr. Justice Frazer (president), Messrs. W. Scott (employers’ representative), and A. L. Monteith (representative of the workers). The Court settled the fixtures for the present session. The principal cases to be dealt with on this occasion include the freezing workers’ dispute; the drivers’ dispute, of which four sections are still Unsettled, the remaining clauses having already been agreed to before the Conciliation Commissioner; and an application for an interpretation under the waterside workers' award. These cases will not be taken before next week. The following fixtures were made:—Wednesday: Inspector of awards v. Burns and Co., alleged breach of the Apprentices' Act: Davenport v. inspector of awards appeal from Magistrate’s Court application for amendment of the Wellington electrical workers’ apprenticeship order. Thursday: Metal workers' dispute; application for amendment of cooks' and stewards' award. The lastnamed case, however, may be settled out of Court. Friday; Compensation cases; Bullot v. Faulkner: and Murray v. Feilding Freezing Company. Saturday: Shipwrights’ case. No fixture has yet been made in the case affecting the freezing workers.
