The steamer Tekoa, which arrived at Auckland from Liverpool on Thursday evening, berthed there, no Friday mjrning, to unload general merchandise. 4n® cargo was loaded at Newport, Avomnoutn,

Ths Tekoa experienced westerly gales and rough seas during tho first five days followed by fine weather, which continued until the vessel was nearing New Zealand, when strong south-west winds mid rough seas caused delay during the last four days of the voyage Besides carvo ‘he steamer brought three pedigree racehorses and two purebred collio dogs. The vessel will subsequently load also at Lyttelton and Wellington, arriving here on December 21. The Huntingdon will proceed from Wellington to Napier. Gisborne, and Auckland, aud will sail finally from Auckland on January 18 for the Home ports. THE MAHENO. The Union Company advise that the Maheno was expected to clear Bluff at 3 o'clock this morning for .Melbourne. She will leave there next Wednesday for Wellington, via south. THE WAIPORI. The Union Company advise that the Waipori left Greymouth on Saturday for Melbourne, thence Adelaide, Edithburg, and Melbourne to load for New Plymouth, Wellington, Auckland, and Portland. . MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY. Wireless 'advice received by the Union Company from the Maunganui states that that vessel, which left Sydney on Friday lor Wellington, will arrive in the stream at 7 o'clock tills morning. She will berth at No. 1 north Queen's Wharf at about 9 o’clock. The Maunganui is scheduled to leave again at 3 p.m. on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain G. M. Ruxton has relieved Captain E. R. Lowe as master of the Waipori. Mr. H. Ruegg, late third officer of the Waipiata, has signed on the Tofua as third officer, relieving Mr. A. J. Herbert for holiday leave. Mr. C. V. Vincent has joined the Kahika as third officer. The Kaiapoi was recommissioned at Auckland last week with Captain W. H. D.
