COLLECTION OF INSECTS
GIFT TO DOMINION MUSEUM By Teoegbapil—Press association. Dunedin. December 5. It is announced that tbe valuable collection of insects resulting from the lifetime hobbv of the late Mr. C. C. Fenwick, of Anderson’s Bay, is to be presented to tbe Dominion Museum, in Wellington, where it can be. suitable housed. The collection, which is estimated to contain quite 4000 separate specimens, possesses a peculiar scientific value from the fact that it has been gathered, for the most part, in Otago and Southland, and represents phases of insect life characteristic of these parts. The Fenwick collection, as it will be known, should constitute a valuable addition to the 1 entomological exhibits in the Dominion Museum.
