TECHNICAL COLLEGE
AN UNFINISHED WORKSHOP The Director of Technical Education brought before the board at last night’s meeting correspondence on the subject of a communication issued to the Press by the Public Works Department regarding the delav in the completion of the workshops. The director considered the communique reflected on the board, and took strong exception to the statement that he had been several time? requested to-furnish particulars of the lavout of nlant and equipment. The Public Works Department in reply to the director’s protest, quoted dates when at interviews with the Government architects the various questions had been reviewed, The director in a final reply stated emphatically that he had never wittingly delaved giving any information- requlped in order to enable the huthlings. and the installation of the gas. water, and electricitv supply, to be completed; that on March 24, 1925. the requirements of the board were fully stated, and he presumed the particulars were overlooked .when the Department’s communication for the Press was prepared. The board resolved to again approach the Government on the subj'ect, the chairman remarking that the present position was a scandal, and that the blame rested entirely on the Public Works Department.
