LOSS BY FIRE
RACING STABLE DESTROYED. , Dominion Special. ; Christchurch, October 26. A racing stable adjoining the Belfast Hotel, and owned by Mr. K. H. Smith, was destroyed by fire last night. A five-seater car and a motor-cycle were completely destroyed, also a quantity of harness and feed. Luckily the wind was not from the south-west, and the hotel was not damaged beyond a few windows being cracked with the intense heat. The stable was insured for £4OO with the Roval Tnsurancd Company; ■ The-car ■ and • cycle were also insured. Be prepared. See that vou have adequate fire insurance.
