LOSS ON LAST YEAR'S OPERATIONS. Brisbane. October 14. The ' annual report of the Commissioner of State Enterprises discloses a heavy deficit in respect of the operation of State stations. Profit-making State enterprises were: Butchers’ shops, £565; produce agency. £1521; railway refreshmentrooms, £15,256: hotel. £3939; fish supply, £173: cannery, £287 The report states that the heavy deficit incurred by the State stations, together with the payment of £lO,OOO out of the profits of refreshment-rooms to the Consolidated Revenue, was responsible for the conversion of a credit balance of £107,542 on June 30, 1925, into a debit at June 30 last of £32,959
