DUNEDIN ENGAGEMENTS Dominion Special. Dunedin. October 13. This morning the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) and Lady Alice Fergusson, accompanied by the Mavor (Mr. H. L. Tapley, M.P.) paid a visit to Hudson’s works in Castle Street, and for over an hour and a half inspected the various departments of this large establishment. Owing to the sodden state of the Caledonian ground and other grounds, the children’s demonstration arranged in honour of Their Excellencies’ visit bad to be held indoors this afternoon, and the Kensington Drill Hall was utilised for the purpose. The display was arranged by the Headmasters’ Association, with the assistance of Mr. A. P. Rovdhouse (physical instructor of the Education Department) Later in the afternoon Their Excellencies visited the Ross Home, North-East Valiev, and Flis Excellency formally opened the new hospital block, the foundation stone of which lie laid on a previous visit. This evening Sir Charles Pergusson participated tn an important Alasonic gathering.
