COLTS' MATCH ON LABOUR DAY COACH TO HELP IN WAIRARARAPA LOWER GRADE FIXTURES The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last evening, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. . Mr. L- J. Brabin reported upon the proposal to set up a secondary schools’ association, affiliated to the Wellington Cricket Association. He explained that he had attended a conference with the Secondary Schools’ Association, and at the conference he had explained that they would have to drop the title "secondary schools.” The representatives of the association had replied that they did not care what they were called, so long as they were affiliated to the association. It had been suggested that the association should be affiliated under the title of the “intermediate grade” of the Wellington Cricket Association. He moved to this effect, the motion being carried. The Wellington Bovs’ Cricket League was also admitted to the Wellington Cricket Association under the title of the “Bovs’ League Grade ” The Hutt Club was granted, permission to send a senior and a junior team to play matches against Wairarapa teams on Labour Day. Mr. B. C. Neale, V>n- secretary ot the Nelson Cricket. Association, wrote, stating that any players chosen from Nelson to play in the. Town v. On the motion of Mr. W. R. Bock, seconded by Mr. A. Ronaldson, it was decided to remit the charge of £3O, and to send the coach to Masterton. every Friday, on condition that the Wairarapa people paid all his expenses in making the trips. Mr. K. H. Tucker wrote accepting the position of solo selector of representative teams. It was decided to nlay a match, Colts v. a representative eleven, at the Basin Reserve on Labour Day, the colts to bo under 23 years of age. It wns agreed to ask Mr. F. T. Badcock. the coach, to captain the colts’ team. • Mr. L. J. Brabin was appointed to, assist Mr. Tucker in selecting the colts’ team. The hour of starting play was fixed at 10 a.m. .
