SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The members of tho Victoria League, under the leadership of Mrs. A. L. Warburton, gave a happy evening to their seafaring guests at the Sailors Friend Society on Tuesday. Every item was fully enjoyed and applauded. The performers were Mesdamcs Doctor, A. L. Warburton, Hollands, Townley, Baker and Fortuno, Misses Moore, Frame and Chapman, and Messrs. Palmer, Histed, Griffiths, Gibson. Mesdames Fortune and Doctor ere at the piano. ■ "Capers” was the word chosen by Mr. J. Moore, missioner, for hie temperance chat. Pledges followed. Hnppv competitions were held. The prizes came from Messrs. A. L. Warburton. Corrigan and R. B. Robort80®.
