EXTENSION OF TORY STREET
THROUGH TO CABLE STREET
Formal application is to be rpade to the Harbour Board by the City Council to dedicate sufficient land (on the Te Aro reclaimed land) for the extension of Tory Street, through to Cable Street. In order to achieve this extension, it was stated the road alignment would have to cross the Railway Department’s property, and this would mean the partial demolition of the old Te Aro railway station (which is right opposite. the northern end of lower Tory Street) • '
