FATALITY AT PETONE WORKSHOPS

4 YOUNG MAN CRUSHED BETWEEN .TRUCK AND SHED. An accident occurred at the Petone railway workshops shortly before 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon, a young carpentry apprentice named Arthur Gleeson receiving injuries from which he died soon after his admission to the Public Hospital. Deceased, who was about 20 vears of age, and lived with his parents at Pretoria Street, Lower Hutt, was crushed between a truck and the end of a shed. As a result, Gleeson received severe injuries to the head, including a thirteen-inch wound on the scalp, and another severe wound on the right cheek. His chest was also very badlv bruised. After being attended to by Dr. Hislop, Gleeson was removed to the hospital, and succumbed to his injuries at 5.15 p.m.
