INVESTITURE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE

Yesterday evening His Excellency the Governor-General held an investiture at Government House. The ceremony was held in the ballroom and among the large gathering of guests at the reception which followed, were the relatives and friends of the recipients. Close upon 8.30 Their Excellencies entered the ballroom and took their stands upon the dais. A g«ard of honour comprised Major-General Young, Colonel Powles, Captain Butcher, Colonel Symon and Colonel Falla. Following the investiture Their Excellencies personally received the guests and supper followed. Among those present were:— The Rt. Hon. J. G. and Mrs. Coates; the Chief Justice (Hon. C. P.
