RIO GRANDE WRECK RECALLED
Gisborne, July 10. During dredging operations the new harbour dredge Korna brought up the prow of a wooden sailing vessel buried in the sands on the Waikanae foreshore. It is believed to be portion of the barquentine Rio Grande, which was driven ashore over forty years ago.
