OPENED BY PRINCE OF WALES Empire House, the new headquarters of the British Empire bcrvice League is being opened in London by H R H.’ the Prince of Wales. In response to a request for a message from the Dominion, the Prime Minister ( he Hon. I. G. Coates) has forwarded he following cablegram to Lord Haig, the grand president:— “New Zealand sends hearty congratulations and good wishes on the opening of Empire House as the headquarters of the British Empire Service League. The splendid spmt ot patriotism and self-sacrifice which saved the Empire in the dark days of the Great War must not 'be allowed to languish, but should serve as an abiding influence to British citizens in the time of peace. The League in its new home will be enabled to peifonii most useful service not only in this direction but also in looking after the interests of our ex-service men.”
