PRISONERS SENTENCED. Four prisoners appeared before Mr. Justice Ostler in the Supreme Court yesterday on sentence, having pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to various offences. . Mary Wilson (Mr. W. E. Leicester) was sentenced to six months imprisonment with hard labour for the theft of a fur coat. Prisoner wan stated to have a record of previous convictions for various offences. , . . ~ . , On a charge of conspiring to defraud at Palmerston North, Neils Martin Olsen was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour. Eric Roland Cherry who had pleaded guilty in th© Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui to a charge of‘forgery, was ordered to be detained in a Borstal Institution for a period not exceeding three years. lor committing a breach of his probationary license, Frederick Norman Lalor Walker was ordered to be detained for reformative purposes for a period not exceeding three years.
