The following is from tbo Morriiisville “Star”: —“The disappearance of the Morrinsvillo bath plans at Te Awamutu recalls an interesting story which may prove a solution to the problem. Some years ago ill* Te Awamutu Borough Council contemplated doing some important road work, and instructed a Hamilton engineer to prepare the plans. This was done and the plans were sent to. Te Awamutu. For financial reasons tlie work was not proceeded with at the time. Several years later the matter was reconsidered and the plans were asked for. The town clerk said the engineer had them. The engineer replied that they had been sent to the council’s office and had not been returned. There was a prolonged crossfire of correspondence between the engineer and tho town clerk. One day the engineer was visiting the town clerk’s office, and, looking into an old drain pipe in the office where all sorts of odds and ends were deposited, he retrieved a set: of. plans which were identical with those which had been lost. Perhaps a similar search might reveal the whereabouts of the Mor” rinsville plans.”
