DISCOVERED IN TIME
PLOT AGAINST PRESIDENT OF Constantinopk. June 18. A plot against Mustapha Kemal was discovered at Smyrna, and several arrests made.—Reuter. (Rec. June 20, 5.5 p.m.) Constantinople, June 19. Apparently the plotters were awaiting Mustapha’s arrival in Smyrna to carry out their designs, but the plot was discovered before the President’s arrival. The police seized weapons and bombs. The arrests include several prominent personages-—Rentes.
