ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACCOUNT
COUNTY CLERK CHARGED. Br TBr.XGßA.nH.— Press Association Masterton, May 28. Robert Stanley Hanna, clerk of the Masterton County Council, appeared before Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, to answer a charge that between April 1 and July 31, 1925, he received from Elliott Brothers the sum of £72 Bs. 2d., on terms requiring him to account for tlie same to the Masterton County Council, and ’that he fraudulently omitted to account for the sum to tlie council. An application for a remand till June 4 was granted, and it is possible tiiat a further remand will be applied for, as other charges may be preferred. Accused was admitted to bail, self in £3OO, and two sureties of £2OO.
