New Zealand choicest, salted. 1735. to 1745. per cwt.; unsalted, 1745. to 1765.; Australian, salted, 170 s. to 1725.; unsalted. 1725. to 1745.; Danish, 184 s. The cheese market is quiet. New Zealand white, 965. to 975. per cwt.; coloured, 975. to 985.; Australian, 935. to 955. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date April 8:— Butter.—Market quiet. We quote: New Zealand finest salted, 1745. (1745.); Danish, 186 s. (1925.); Australian, finest salted 171 s. (1735.), unsalted 1745. (1745.). Cheese.—Market depressed. Ne Zealand white, 965. (965.). coloured 98s. (975.): Canadian, spot, 110 s. (110 s. (Last week’s quotations given in parenthesis).

FROZEN MEAT MARKET Messrs. M. A. Eliott, Ltd., Palmerston North, have received cable advice from their London agents of the following Smithfield prices for the week ending Apiil 9. These prices are on the “delivered” basis, that is, including storage charges, cartage, etc.: —Best North Island prime lambs, under 361 b. 10d., 361 b. to 421 b. 10d., 421 b. to 501 b. 91d.; ordinary North Island lambs, under 421 b. 9Jd., second quality, under 421 b. 9Jd.; best North Island wethers and/or maiden ewes, 481 b. to 561 b. and 561 b. to 641 b. Gfd., 641 b. to 721 b. and over 721 b. 5Jd.; ordinary North Island wethers and/or maiden ewes, 481 b. to 561 b. and 561 b. to 641 b. 6Jd., G4lb. to 721 b. and over 721 b. 51d.; North Island ewes, under 641 b. 4.jd., Glib, to 721 b. and over 721 b. .ltd.; New Zealand prime ox beef (equal fores and hinds), 1601 b. to 2201 b. 4d.
