NORTH ISLAND BAND CONTEST
NEXT TO BE HELD IN WELLINGTON. The last North Island Band contest, which was held in Wellington in February, 1922, was so successful that a net "surplus of nearly £lOOO was realised, and at a public meeting held afterwards it was decided to reappoint the existing committee and hand over the surplus to it, to be held in trust for the next contest. Wellington now has been fortunate enough to secnie allocation of the contest, which is for all grades, for February next year, and at a meeting of the committee it was decided to set matters in train by ordering the rest music, which has to be obtained from England. A general meeting of all interested in making the contest a success will be held in two or three weeks, w-hen additional members of the committee will be appointed. ________
