FAULT IN CABLE
REI’AIR SHIP TO LEAVE ON MONDAY. By Telegeatii.—Press Association. Auckland, April 9. The Pacific Cable Board’s steamer Iris is to leave Auckland on Monday for a spot in the Tasman Sea, The vessel is to repair a fault in the Eastern Extension Company cable between Wellington and Australia. The position of the trouble is approximately 370 miles
distant from Wellington. It is expect ed that the Iris will be absent from port for about ten days.
