—4— TO-DAY’S FIXTURES. An opportunity of judging the prospective strength or the senior teams for the season will be afforded this afternoon, as three matches are set down for decision on Athletic Park. At 1.30 p.m., Marist will meet. Wellington; at 2.30 Athletic and Berhampore will try conclusions; and at 3.30 Old Boys and ’Varsity will oppose each other. The proceeds of the gate will go towards the clubs’ gymnasium funds. An interesting match should be witnessed at Pctone at 3 o’clock, when those old rivals, Ponekc and Pctone, will take the field in. opposition. The proceeds of this game will go as a benefit to T. Cross, a onetime prominent Rugby player, who is at present seriously ill. Oriental and Hutt will play a friendly practice match at Lower Hutt at 3 o’clock. The ’Varsity team v. Old Boys to-dav is:—Baldwin, Burns, Childs, Dcidrich, Foden, Grigg, Leys, Hislop. Toll, Love, Mackenzie, Mac Ewan, _ McWilliam, Mackay, Malfroy, Martin-Smith, Noble-Adams, O’Regan, Pope, Sceats, South, Wiren, Walpole, Macpherson.
