RESIGNATION OF M. MALVY (Rec. April 9, 8.55 p.m.) Paris, April 8. ' M. Malvy, Minister of the Interior, has resigned on the ground of illhealth.—Reuter. (Rec. April 9, 10.30 p.m.) Paris, April 8. Speculation is active regarding the reason of M. Malvy’s resignation, which it is ascertained is not on account of ill-health. The reasons are contained in the letter of resignation, which has not yet been published. M. Malvy, in announcing his resignation, said the attacks made on him were of such a nature as to weaken the support which M. Briand had the right to expect of him. Moreover, he was precluded from replying suitably thereto so long as he held a portfolio. —Reuter.
