RED SECTION DEFEATED IN ELECTIONS. (Rec. April 9, 11.20 p.m. Sydney, April 9. The Labour Conference vote for the new executive resulted in Mr.. W. Seale being elected president and Mr. W. Carey secretary. Other executive positions, also were filled by members of a coalition, consisting of the former executive and the industrial section, leaving control of the Labour movement in the hands of those who have had charge for the past two years and defeating the Red section of the party. —Press Assn.
