Zane Grey and his party left by the Main Trunk express on Friday night for Te Kuiti They intend visiting the ■ Waitomo Caves, and they will, go to Rotorua, proceeding thence to Taupo. They will fish for trout until April 23, and will depart for America on the Tahiti on April 27. Mr. Grey’s party, which includes Captain L- D. Mitchell, Mrs. Mitchell, and Miss Smith (Mr. Grey’s private secretary) are loud in their praises of the northern fishing waters. “The sport was great," said Captain Mitchell, whose landing of world’s record swordfish has given him a fishing story for the rest of his life. “We enjoyed every minute of our stay, but are looking forward just as keenly to fishing the Taupo and Tongariro streams for the trout, of which we have heard great accounts.” While at Taupo it is the party’s plan not to stick to one camp, biit to work up Tongariro streams, and, if time permits, to visit the National Park, A kinematographer, who followed Mr. Grey at Deepwater Cove and secured some fine films of contests with swordfish and niako, will again accompany the party, and it is hoped to get more fine photographs of New Zealand’s trout fishing. Mr. Grev is delighted with what he has seen of New Zealand, and regrets that he has not had time to tour the countrv thoroughly.
