HARBOUR BOARD CONTRACTS
The following 1 tenders have been accepted by the Wellington Harbour Board for annual contracts for year endinc March 31, 192.7:— Coal.—Schedule "A,” Blackball Coal Agency; “B,” Westport Coal Co.. Jhtd.j “0,” Westport Coal Company, Ltd.; “D, Mr D. Andrews; “E,” The New Zealand State Coal Depot. Removal of rubbishMr. D. Andrews. Brass castings: Messrs. WTiinham and Taylor. Iron castings: Messrs. J. Mjurphy and Sop.
Acceptances for all events for the first day of the Feilding Jockev Club’s Easter meeting close with the secretary (Mr. E. Goodbehere) at Feilding, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday next. Cheap excursion railwav tickets to Feilding are available front Taihape, Wanganui, Masterton, and other centres, by morning trains on each race day. A Press Association message from Cambridge reports the death of J\JrsAnnie Hiks, widow of the late Mr. J. T. Hicks Deceased was 82 years of age, and has resided for 53 years in the district, having arrived in the Dominion in 1871.
