A junior employed by one of Wanganui’s mercantile firms had an unpleasant, experience recently, which ho is not likely to forget in a hurry (says an exchange). While cycling along the Town Wharf he overbalanced and fell with his cycle into the river. There was no one about at tho time, and onco tho boy camo to the surface (which seemed to him a long period) he struck out for tho rock batter under tho wharf, which ho reached safely. Ho then walked along under tho wharf until he reached tho bridge, whore he " camo to light ” onco more. With the help of one of tho men working at the wharf his cyclo was retrieved from the water.
