INTOXICATED MOTORIST
Br Telmbaph—Pi.-ess Ass'.cU Hawera, March 26. Robert Henry Blackmore was charged in tho Magistrate’s Court at Patea with being drunk in charge of a car, thereby causing a collision with A service car. Evidence given by an eye-witness showed that the accident occurred m a wide, straight road. Blackmore, driving on the wrong side, cut into the service car striking the left side of it. Defendant and five passengers in the service car received injuries. Ihe medical evidence disclosed that Blackmore was in a state of intoxication. Defendant was convicted and sentenced to three weeks’ imprisonment.
