ROTARY CONFERENCE
PROCEEDINGS AT MELBOURNE
(Rec. March 26, 7 p.m.) Melbourne, March 26. The Rotarians’ conference closed after a series of sessions had discussed various subjects dealing with Rotarian objectives. The proceedings were of the happiest character, . the speeches and reading of papers being interspersed with the singing of Rotary songs. Over five hundred Rotarians and their wives, the guests including 136 overseas and inter-State members, were entertained at luncheon by the Melbourne Rotary Club. , Mr. Holtz (the president), in his closing address, said that the conference had dealt effectually with the mechanics and education of Rotarians and their relation to the community through the application of the Golden Rule. Next year’s conference was fixed for Adelaide. A sub-committee was appointed to consider the establishment of a Rotary journal.—Press Assn.
