Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, backing to southerly, northward of New Plymouth, and Napier, and easterlies to south-easterlies elsewhere. A disturbance is apparently centred westward of Cape Egmont, and stormy, wet weather may be expected generally; heavy rain in many parts, with rivers rising, and much colder conditions soon. Barometer falling; rise after about 16 hours. B. V. PEMBERTON.
