CENTRALISATION OPPOSED
“Dominion” Special.
Nelson, March 26.
At a meeting of the executive of the R.S.A. last night, consideration was given to the proposal of 'the Internal Affairs Department for a conference regarding patriotic" and war funds, and its suggestion that these funds should be centralised. Members were unanimously of opinion that the local patriotic funds should remain and be administered in the centres where they were raised. The following resolution was carried: “That this association is strongly opposed to any attempt at centralisation of patriotic funds or interference in the administration of local patriotic societies."
