PREVENTING WORSE TRADE DEPRESSION IN BRITAIN.
London, February 12.
"Every quarter’s trade shows that the Empire markets alone prevent a worse trade depression in Britain,” said Mr. F. L. MacDougr.il when opening the Empire shopping week at Manchester. Everyone in Britain, he said, wants to help Empire development, and the only question was one of methods of which voluntary preference was the most effective.
