As the result of an application for permission to run an observation car, commencing from the Bank of New Zealand corner, the'Transit Committee recommended to to-night’s meeting of the Borough Council that permission be granted Councillor M. A. Eliott said that the <.ar would be a very good thing for the town, while Councillor M. H. Oram said that it would be of particular benefit to visitors.
