PLUNKET SHIELD MATCH WELLINGTON TEAM SELECTED The sole selector (Mr. K. H. Tucker), yesterday chose the following eleven to .represent Wellington in the deciding match for the Plunket Shield, against AucklandW. S. Brice (Petone), captain; C. S. Dempster (Institute), B. J.'Kortlang (Thorndon), H. M. McGirr (Hutt), J. S. Hiddleston (WeUington), F. T. Badcock (Wei. hngton), M. Henderson (Y.M.C.A.), D. C. Collins (Old Boys), H. Lambert (Old Bovs), K. C. James (Old Boys), B. A. McLeod (Hutt), The team is identical with that which played against Otago at Dunedin last month, except that Lambert replaces Banks and James takes Tattersail’s place. W. S. Brice, the captain, is suffering from a rather badly damaged thumb, but it is hoped that he will have recovered sufficiently by Friday to enable him to take the field against Auckland. ' The match will commence at the Basin Reserve on Friday.

WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last night. Mr. P. B. Broad was in the chair. For Wellington, Puttick captured five wickets for Gfl runs, and Anderson four for 13. JUNIOR B. ’Varsity 140 (Love 23, Mason 39, Hain 12), and 72 for two wickets (Cormack 11, Mason 31, Dighton 10 not out, Hain 14 not out) secured a four-point win by defeating Karori 125 and 48 (Shephard 19 not out) by eight wickets. Duff took four wicket for 27 runs, and Tietmeyer two for 21 for ’Varsity. Shenhard and R. Keenan bowled for Karori. BOYS’ LEAGUE. Owing to the Auckland-Wellington senior representative match taking place on Saturday, February 20, no games will be played.
