ACCIDENT IN MANNERS STREET
At about 2.30 p.m. yesterday James Wright, a fanner, of Wainui-o-mata, was stepping from the pavement in Milliners Street, near the Bank of New Zealand corner, when he was struck by a motor van driven by Frank Moody. The injured man was conveyed to the hospital bv Dr. Harold Corkill in his motor-car, and an X-ray examination revealed that his ankle had been broken. Mr. Wright was taken home last evening.
